Terms of use

The short version: the QR codes you create are yours, commercial use included, we claim no rights over them, and we ask nothing in return. What follows is the detail and a few reasonable limits.

  • Free forever
  • No account needed
  • No scan limits

Your rights over the codes you create

  • The codes are yours. We claim no rights, licence or royalty over the QR codes you create or the files you download
  • Commercial use is free. Packaging, signage, business cards, menus, advertising — all permitted, with no additional permission needed
  • No attribution required. You do not have to mention QRLand
  • No watermark. Downloaded files contain no site name or signature
  • No quantity limit. There is no cap on how many codes you create or download

How the service is provided

The tool is provided "as is". Because it is free and requires no account, there is no service level agreement between us: we cannot guarantee the site will be continuously available.

That does not affect the codes you have already made. Codes generated here are static and do not need this site to be running in order to work. Even if the site shut down completely, what you printed keeps scanning. This is the single most important property of the service.

Testing the code before printing is your responsibility. The tool warns about risky design combinations and refuses settings that produce an unreadable pattern, but no two reader apps behave identically. Do not send a code to print without scanning it with at least two different phones.

Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the tool — printing costs, lost profit or lost business, for example. This is a standard limit for software provided free and without warranty.

In practice the most likely failure mode is entering the wrong address and printing thousands of copies. The way to prevent it is to scan the code with a real phone before printing. The tool reminds you of this at every step.

Prohibited uses

A QR code is only a carrier; you are responsible for what it contains. Do not use the tool for:

  • Phishing, fake payment pages or fraud of any kind
  • Distributing malware
  • Sticking codes over someone else's to hijack the destination
  • Any content contrary to applicable law

Because we generate static codes, we have no ability to disable them afterwards. For honest users that is a guarantee; for anyone abusing it, it means responsibility rests entirely with them.

Changes

These terms may be updated over time. Any change cannot affect codes you have already created: they work independently of us, and imposing a retroactive restriction is not technically possible.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a code commercially?

Yes, entirely freely. No permission, attribution or payment is required.

Are you liable if a printed code is wrong?

No. Testing the code on at least two different phones before printing is the user's responsibility; the tool reminds you at every step and refuses settings that produce an unreadable pattern.

Can I revoke a code later?

No — and that is deliberate. In a static code the content lives in the pattern; neither we nor anyone else can disable it. If you need a changeable destination, point the code at an address on your own domain.
